Der Partner unseres 6. Projekts, die Christian-Liebig- Stiftung -kurz CLS- (www.christian-liebig-stiftung.de) hat im Oktober 2009 die von ihr errichtete Mpalapata Junior Grundschule in der Nähe von Blantyre/Malawi an das zuständige Ministerium übergeben. Dieses Schulprojekt sichert langfristig und nachhaltig die Ausbildung der Kinder in dieser Region. Weil uns dieses Projekt, als wir davon erfuhren, sofort gefiel, fragten wir bei der CLS nach, ob wir bei der Ausrüstung der Schule behilflich sein könnten. Es stellte sich heraus, dass keine ausreichende Anzahl von Lehrbüchern vorhanden war. Der Lehrbetrieb lief so ab, dass die Lehrer aus den wenigen vorhandenen Lehrbüchern den Lehrstoff an die Tafel schrieben und die Schüler den Text dann abschrieben. Für die Vertiefung des Unterrichtsstoffs und seine weitere Besprechung war kein Raum mehr. Wir entschlossen uns deshalb, die finanziellen Mittel für die Ausrüstung der Schule mit den nötigen Büchern zur Verfügung zu stellen. Den Ankauf organisierte die CLS.
Weil die CLS dankenswerterweise die gesamte Organisation des Projekts übernommen hatte, verursachte dieses für uns keine Verwaltungskosten. Die Anschaffung der Bücher schlug mit € 5000,- zu Buche.

In October 2009, the partner of our 6th project, the Christian-Liebig-Foundation - CLS in short - (www.christian-liebig-stiftung.de) handed over the Mpalapata junior elementary school, which it built near Blantyre/Malawi, to the responsible ministry. This school project ensures long-term and sustainable education for the children in this region. We liked the project as soon as it came to our attention and therefore asked CLS if we could help with the school equipment. It turned out that there were not enough textbooks available. To conduct classes, the teachers would use the few available textbooks to write the subject matter on the blackboard which was then copied by the students. This left no room to broaden the subject matters and to follow-up with discussions. We therefore decided to provide the financial resources to furnish the school with the required textbooks. CLS organised the purchase.
Since CLS was kind enough to handle the entire organisation of the project, we had no administrative costs. The purchase of the books amounted to € 5000,- .
